the magic briefcase

About the work

"The Magic Briefcase" is an interactive children's story written in English, designed for readers aged 4 to 8. The narrative follows David, a young boy who notices that his father, a stressed and busy lawyer, completely transforms his mood and recharges his energy every time he opens his briefcase and looks inside for a few seconds. Convinced the briefcase is magical, David theorizes about secret elixirs or fairy dust windows. One day, after experiencing a terrible and chaotic day at school himself, David asks his father to share the secret. His father hands him the briefcase, revealing that the "magic" inside is simply a happy family photograph from a vacation. The father explains how this memory acts as his emotional lifeline during difficult days. Inspired by this tactic, David draws his own family picture and tapes it inside his school backpack to cope with his own rough days.
In addition to the core narrative, the work includes an interactive educational section consisting of guided emotional reflection questions, family bonding activities designed to foster mutual understanding during stressful times, and a customizable "Certificate of Emotional Magic" at the end of the book where the child's name can be written to celebrate their emotional resilience growth.
