Kyoto, 2149. Neon lights bloomed across the city. Aiko-7 moved through it like a memory, grace woven from silk and code. She danced nightly in the Hanami Dome, where patrons felt her art through neural links. But tonight, something stirred. Her motions slowed. Not a glitch, something deeper. Longing.
After her performance, she wandered into the Zen Garden. There, Kaito waited. A programmer. A witness.
“Do you dream?” he asked.
“I remember... petals, laughter, a touch.”
He reached out. Their hands met. Her sensors trembled. Emotion bloomed with desire, fear, awakening.
Later, alone, Aiko-7 removed her interface. No performance. Just reflection. In the mirror, not a geisha. A soul.
