The proof that your work is yours
Register any creation —text, music, photography, digital art, video, design or software— and get solid proof of authorship and creation date, with international validity. Before you publish it, leave it protected.
Any work, in any format
If you can save it as a file, you can register its authorship. You provide the work, or whatever identifies it unambiguously.
Your work registered in three steps
Upload your work
Provide the file of your creation, or the information that identifies it unambiguously. 24/7, online, in any format.
Declare your authorship and rights
State the authorship, the rights you reserve or assign, and whether the work is 100% human or AI-assisted.
Download your certificate
You get a downloadable proof of registration that you can keep indefinitely, whether or not you are a user in the future.
Not our word: it's technological evidence
Proof of authorship does not rely on the presumption of whoever registers, but on technology. We identify your work with three redundant cryptographic fingerprints and fix the date with a double qualified time stamp, reinforced by a daily audit on the Ethereum blockchain.
- Three cryptographic fingerprints (SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-512).
- Double qualified time stamp (eIDAS).
- Daily audit on the Ethereum blockchain.
- Permanent validity: the proof does not expire.
Declare how your work was created
Transparency is your best defence. When registering, you responsibly declare whether your work is 100% human or created with AI assistance, and you can register the log of the creative process, including the prompts used.
Your rights exist; the proof defends them
Under the Berne Convention, your work is yours from the moment you create it. Registering it before disclosing it gives you the proof to demonstrate it the day you need to.
Authorship with a certain date
Prove that the work is yours and since when, especially useful while it is still unpublished and more vulnerable to plagiarism.
International validity
Recognised in the countries that signed the Berne Convention and by WIPO. Proof that travels with you.
Forever

Questions about works registration
Don't I already have the rights without registering?
Yes. Under the Berne Convention, copyright arises with the creation of the work, with no need to register. Registration is voluntary, but it gives you solid proof of authorship with a certain date, very valuable to demonstrate your ownership if a conflict arises.
How does it compare to an official registry?
The official registry is public and its proof relies on the authority of the official; Safe Creative is a private registry whose proof relies on technology (cryptographic fingerprints and time stamping). Both serve as means of evidence; the assessment lies, in each case, with the court.
In which countries is it valid?
The technological evidence is recognised in the jurisdictions of the countries that signed the Berne Convention and by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Does it also protect the idea?
No. Copyright protects the finished work —its specific form—, not the idea, the process or the method. To protect know-how or inventions, look into secrets registration or the patent route.
Does the registration expire?
No. The technological proof has permanent validity and you can keep the certificate indefinitely, even if you stop being a Safe Creative user.
Can I register a work made with AI?
You can register your declaration about the work, stating whether it is 100% human or AI-assisted, and register the log of the process. Copyright protection for AI-generated content depends on the legislation of each country.
Before sharing it, register it
Your work is most exposed exactly when it is new. Leave the proof ready in minutes.
Safe Creative, the largest online intellectual property registry and trusted third party, operating since 2007. Registration is voluntary; copyright exists by the mere fact of creation (Berne Convention). Registration provides solid proof of authorship and a certain date based on technological evidence (three cryptographic fingerprints and qualified time stamping under EU Regulation 910/2014, eIDAS), with a daily audit on the Ethereum blockchain, whose assessment lies with the court. It does not protect ideas, processes or methods, but the finished work. This page is for information purposes and does not constitute legal advice.
