About the work
Synopsis: Manuel, a retired fireman (67), lives with the memory of not having saved a little girls’life, in his last day of work. Therefor, he decides to dedicate the rest of his life to entertain children with cancer. Life gives him a second chance and he meets the father of the girl he was not able to rescue in the past. From then on, Manuel bonds with the father of the girl, that will make Manuel be able to recover his spirit. Fusing together the purity of classical sounds and the sonic richness of electronic instruments, Spanish composer Richard Dobeson creates a universe that is expressive, imaginative and wonderfully relatable. Born of Irish origin, Richard Dobeson lives in Madrid where his home studio is located. From here, he crafts compositions that explore the human connection to peace, love and unity. His eclectic soundscapes experiment with neo-classical, progressive, and art rock genres, but his signature presence is in the cinematic quality found in each piece. He played with notable names like Dani Martin of «El Canto del Loco» and learned from true professionals like Jorge Cabadas, David Gwynn, Nano Rivarola, and the Goya Award-winning Eva Gancedo at the «Escuela de Música Creativa (Madrid)», in Madrid, Spain, where he still resides and bases his music out of today. Richard’s inspiration, creativity and commitment to the art of making music continues to grow at an impressively exponential rate.
