FIRST SIGHT
He felt in love with her at first sight
I mean the girl who always works there in the corner.
But she’s never realized of his face
She’s never paid to him so much care or attention.
She should not fall in love while she’s at work
(and yeah, she knows)
While she’s at work there’s no one she can trust.
He said to her: “Make my day, I will pay,
Let me see what you’ve got there to offer?”
She said to him: “Only numbers will tell,
Make your choice I’ve got nothing to say”.
‘Cause she does not trust love just at first sight
(God knows she tries)
‘Cause they can see but she’s totally blind.
She just trusts love itself at first touch,
At first taste, at first smell, and at first sound.
‘Cause they say love is always so blind
But it’s even much blinder this time.
She said: “Who are we going to blame should this not work?”
(God only knows)
He said: “No one’s to be blamed for we don’t know”
So thus they felt in love at first sight
At first taste, at first smell, and at first sound.
And though he knows that she can’t see at all
It’s the same for himself when at night

Cádiz (1973). Licenciado en Filología Anglo-germánica.
A pesar de llevar escribiendo tanto poemas como canciones desde la temprana edad de 15 años, su primera incursión en el mundo editorial le llega en 2012 de la mano de IDEAS PROPIAS Editorial, publicando en toda España su primer libro de formación de inglés, Inglés profesional para servicios de restauración, con el que consigue el Primer Premio de España de los prestigiosos Gourmand WorldBook International Awards en 2012.
A este primer éxito editorial le sigue la publicación a nivel nacional de otros 8 libros más de formación de inglés con las prestigiosas Editorial ADAMS, Editorial CEP/Publicep y también de nuevo otro título con IDEAS PROPIAS Editorial.
Fuera del ámbito del inglés profesional, Daniel Granado ha escrito diversos relatos cortos, varios cientos de poemas, además de también unas 200 canciones con letra y música de autoría propia, tanto en español como en inglés.
En la actualidad y desde 2015 también es integrante (voz solista y guitarras) de la banda tributo al escritor y cantante canadiense Leonard Cohen A Bunch Of Lonesome Heroes, con las que ha ofrecido numerosos recitales a lo largo y ancho de toda la geografía española (Cátedra Leonard Cohen de la Universidad de Oviedo, Madrid, Islas Canarias, Zamora, Almería, Córdoba, Sevilla, Cádiz...).
