About the work
Last night I saw him, still and real,
between the hours with no hands on the clock.
He looked like the man he used to be,
but somehow his voice carried a different light.
He said, "Don't be afraid when she lets go,
hope still lives where the darkness breaks."
And whether it was a dream or something more,
every word felt true.
She sleeps a little longer now,
while the world keeps drifting by.
She no longer speaks the names she knew,
but she still remembers the sea.
He smiled like the sky after the rain,
and softly said to me:
"She'll come home again...
until the end of eternity."
I saw her paper-thin hands,
her breathing barely a melody.
Her skin as fragile as the evening sun
slipping gently beyond the horizon.
And he, my father, stood in peace,
like someone who had already seen the end.
As if he knew that death is only
one more step beyond the door.
She sleeps a little longer now,
while the world keeps drifting by.
She no longer speaks the names she knew,
but she still remembers the sea.
He smiled like the sky after the rain,
and softly said to me:
"She'll come home again...
until the end of eternity."
I woke without knowing if it was real,
but some truths are deeper than reason.
He's still close within the silent grey,
where love never fades away.
Let her go now, don't call her back,
she has crossed the final shore.
Two ancient souls, one beating heart,
together once again at last.
