A battered bus crawls across desolate landscapes: fog-covered fields,
deserts of salt, roads that never end. Inside, men and women run from a past
that keeps catching up.
Don Julio, a former soldier turned smuggler, drives them north through
Central America. Each passenger carries a secret — María seeks her missing
brother, Carla flees a lover who betrayed her, Andrés hides a crime he will
repeat, and a nameless Child sketches what the adults refuse to see.
As the kilometres pass, alliances fracture. The bus becomes a confessional,
a prison, and a purgatory on wheels. Ghosts appear in reflections, bodies
vanish in the night, and every stop reveals a new border between life and
death.
What begins as an escape becomes a reckoning: who deserves to cross, and
who deserves to survive?
