About the work

Speculative essay exploring the nature of consciousness and its relationship with the physical brain. It challenges materialistic assumptions that equate the end of brain function with the end of awareness. Most importantly, it presents a triple blind study proposal that could be key to finding empirical evidence for the objectivity of NDEs. Drawing from ancient mythology, modern neuroscience, and near-death experience (NDE) accounts and connecting all those with philosophical teachings and the Simulation Hypothesis, this essay questions whether consciousness may transcend the physical body and even space-time itself while challenging the scientific community to undertake the testing that could prove so.
