About the work

LYRICS:
He was always almost mine,
I knew it deep inside.
That “almost” was the line,
That burned me every night.
He gave me all he had,
His body, soul, and flame—
But there was just one shard
That never bore my name.

I chased that ghost in silence,
Played chess with fate and fire.
I didn't want his wholeness—
Just that missing sliver’s wire...

Almost mine, just out of reach,
A truth too cruel for time to teach.
I'd trade it all for just a piece—
Of the part that made him not mine.
Almost mine, a curse, a crime,
He lit my dark then fled the shine.
And I was damned to crave the line…
That made him almost mine.

She came to stay,
And I could clearly see—
That “almost” had a face,
a name, an embrace,
and if it was going to be
it wouldn't be for me.
Her name was in the shadows,
Her silence filled the room,
And in his eyes, the “never”
Began to softly bloom.

I searched his gaze for mourning,
For fear or death or doubt—
But only life was pouring,
While mine was bleeding out.
A mirror cracked in madness,
A blade beneath the skin.
His joy became my sadness,
His breath, my discipline.

His almost mine,
cristal clear, pristine
for me, was never destined

Almost mine, a love half-won,
A battle fought but never done.
I gave him all, but in the end,
I lost to what I can't defend.
Almost mine, but not enough,
The game was cruel, the rules were rough.
And when I ran, I left behind—
The part of me that died confined.

Him: free on fire, wild and burning,
He laughed at all my storms.
He fed the pain yearning,
Then danced in human form.
He pierced me in my hunger,
Possessed me with his light.
Then left me darker, younger,
Still dreaming of that night.

His 'almost mine' was bright,
a pain that ran so deep.
His true love came in sight—
not something I could keep.

And when he wrote… Sabines…
I knew I had to go.
I was never meant for endings—
But endings helped me grow.
It wasn’t meant to fade, no fate—
Just timing’s final sting.
To freeze the film, escape the age…
To cut the puppet string.

Almost mine, and never more,
A myth I couldn’t keep in store.
The goddess fades, the curtain falls—
But love still echoes through these walls.
Almost mine… he’ll never find,
The why I left, the truth I hide.
He’ll dream of me for all of time…
The one he lost—
Who was almost his,
But never mine.
