About the work
Concept developed and drafted by Luca Benedettini. With heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Ron Turner (NASA IAC) for his thoughtful response and for offering to share the idea with a NIAC Fellow during the early review phase. This registration marks the first formal protection of the Coherent Plasma Cavitation Theory. "This theory describes an innovative method of cavitational plasma flow induced through the use of electromagnetic fields within ITER/Tokamak fusion engine technology, which, if applied, generates the following benefits:"
- Reduction in edge-localized modes (ELMs) and flare formation by 60–90%, due to inverse radial forces and flare reabsorption.
- Extension of average plasma confinement time by 200% to 500%, compared to standard tokamak configurations.
- Significant increase in central pressure uniformity and energy retention, potentially improving thermal conversion efficiency by 10–15%.
