About the work
Lucy is incarcerated at the Railing Bedlam following the events which her and her friends experienced at the Leap Of Fear Building. Nobody believes her, and she is subjected to the horrors of Dr Blackheart, who slowly begins to realise that she is telling the truth, and must now try her best to cover up the truth.
Detective Cragg does some digging and finds an old case which dates back to 1984 where the Leap Of Fear Building was involved. He ventures back to the Bedlam to try to speak with Lucy, but Dr Blackheart will not let him. he breaks in and discovers Lucy, who is a broken fragment of who she once was.
Cragg investigates the Bedlam and finds it has deep ties to the Leap Of Fear, and seeks the help of a retired Detective Allison who dealt with the case in 1984 personally.
The story explores the events that took place in 1984 that lead to the building being shut down, through the eyes of Allison and her three kids George (18), Tabitha (14) and Charlotte (14).
