After Levi Johnson’s best friend, U.S. Calvary Capt. Will Forrester loses his memory and leaves for unknown destinations, Levi and his new Crow wife, Dahteste, head down the Rockies with the rest of the mountain men from the compound.
Rusty Steel leads the way as Angus McFarlin, Mountain Dennis, and the rest follow. Will the captain and his new traveling partner also go to the Rendezvous to sell their buffalo hides, like Rusty and Levi plan to sell their cold-water beaver pelts?
