About the work
SYNOPSIS
Four sisters meet at the house of one of them, after a long period without seeing each other. Soon the conversation turns to their various experiences with motherhood, until the youngest announces that she wants to be a single mother, but does not want to turn to a fertility clinic or an anonymous donor. That is why she will ask his sisters for something unusual…
From this moment on, conflicts will break out and some personal and family secrets will be exposed. The sisters will face their prejudices and their insecurities, their doubts and their fears, in an atmosphere of complicity and rivalry, and in a tone of comedy.
In the words of the theater director, Cristina Lügstenmann about ALMA MATER
¨The text breathes a family air of the 80s. A chilled red wine, warm and unhurried sunsets, laughter and memories tinged with nostalgia.
Tenderness and complicity, shared memory, longing for past times and brushstrokes of everything omitted and silenced. Humor to bear the pain. The perfect family doesn't exist and this one doesn't either.
Painful layers coated in color emerge. Wounds of the soul nothing seems to happen and everything happens. It seems like it's summer and suddenly the cold of winter hits us. It looks like we're family, but we don't recognize each other. It seems that everything is harmony, but it is not.
The appearance cracks as the work progresses. Characters who become uninhibited while the alcohol takes its toll. Everything that is said in everything that is kept silent. Everything unexpressed, repressed, the pain gagged, the disappointments silenced.
Parents who did what they could, a careless upbringing, a family like any other.
