After the miners had all left the Rockies, the mountain men looked forward to some peace and quiet. It had been a busy summer, and it was nearing time to find spots in the creeks and springs to trap for beaver.
Two men are chased by bounty hunters and pursued into the Rocky Mountains, hoping to escape. The army privates were accused of desertion and murder, and Capt. Holmes and Marshal Wilson chased the outlaws as they fled. The captain was a renowned Indian Fighter, and the marshal was along to collect the rewards. There were currently working as bounty hunters.
The race through the forest led them unsuspectingly into the arms of the enemy. The soldiers and marshal managed to tumble into the enemy camp in a blunder. It was a Crow camp, and sixty warriors awaited them. Now they must go on trial before the tribes’ elders and the current chief. What ensues shapes the future for Levi Johnson, Will Forrester, and Rusty Steel and their Crow neighbors.
