Adam Grizz James and Brick Hammer batten down the hatches in their Rocky Mountain home and prepare for a blizzard. It had been a long warm summer, and the warm air got under the cold, and snowflakes the size of rabbit ears covered the wilderness. The black ash left from the forest fire was washed clean by white snow.
Jimmy White Bear and Victoria Brandyberry decided not to weather the storm in the cave and run down the mountain to visit his best friend and fellow mountain men, Grizz and Hammer. The Blackfoot Killer is a new man with a future bride, happy to be alive and ready to set aside his grudge against the Blackfeet.
When three strangers come knocking on the door seeking shelter from the storm, their word turns on its end, and nobody seems to be who they claim to be. When Grizz discovers blood on the ground and booty in canvas sacks and a mystery blossoms inside Grizz’s cabin.
