About the work
A drama profiling Covid 19 in mini. A member of a Dutch family working for an infectious disease lab experimenting in new viruses using gene manipulation, becomes accidentally and unkowingly infected by a new disease for which there is no known sure. He goes to a family birthday party, spreading the highly contagious and rapidly progressive disease to his family members, a few who got sick and even die. The government gets wind of the event and puts the entire family on lockdown, sealing them off from the outside world and using the family as guinea pigs to learn how the disease is killing and how they might cure it. The public learns of the lock down, which seems illegal, and soon the government is battling civil rights activists and conspiracy theorists to free the family. After more deaths and near deaths in the family, they pool their resources and knowledge - with the help of one of them on the outside who is working with the government at first to figure out how this variant is working - then he defies the government and joins his family, discovering up close how to treat the disease and deliver a potiential vaccine. It´s all a race against time in wihch one must ask - is the government lockdown fair, democratic or legal, and what was the government doing experimenting with a disease that could kill millions if not billions?
