A friendly local English village constable has his work cut out for him during the investigation of the death of a despised spa owner. He’s lost a lot of the evidence, there’s a long list of suspects and he has low confidence he’ll be able to fix things to save his job before the inspector arrives. The Lily Spa explores heroic behaviour that can be small ‘h’ as in day to day choices we make to protect those we love.
I wanted to develop a fun TV mystery series based in England so I was thinking about the scenario where a spa owner is a creep, is emotionally abusive of his spa employees and what happens when they decide to passive aggressively help his karma ripen but he ends up unexpectedly dead.
