About the work
Lila is a young volunteer from Germany, who spends a year abroad in Colombia. One day her mother and brother come to visit her and spend a family vacation at the Colombian Caribbean coast. On their first night in Santa Marta, a young homeless man tries to rob them during a walk on the beach. The following days Lila feels like he is following them everywhere. Simultaneously tensions between Lila and her mother rise. After a long, overdue fight Lila wakes up to her mother missing. Lila decides to tell the police about the attempted robbery. She leads the police to him, who beat and drag him into an abandoned building. After this, nobody sees him again.
Lila and her brother roam the strange city, that suddenly seems closed off and empty, looking for their mother.
