The part is titled "Mountains" and is a composition entirely dedicated to Alpinists from all over the world. The musical ensemble seems to tell the preparation of a demanding climb, the description of a mountain environment in which the mountain itself writes the history of men.
The presence of children voices, solo and choral voices from the Czech Boys Choir, orchestral and solo instruments such as the flute, violin, cello and the inevitable glockenspiel tell the story of this departure. An uncertain departure, full of doubts, fears and even hopes. Suddenly, however, the decisive presence of french horns and trombones which, combined with the timpani and the strong snare drum, in the middle of the work urge the Alpinist's soul with an exciting crescendo to continue, to force the step, to resist.
Then, when the atmospheres changes as you get closer and closer to the top, the music is broken by new emotions, stuck in the choice of continuing to the top or retracing the steps. Here the artist intervenes with an unmissable very intense final stretch: a 6/8 of drums (played by Pogliaghi himself), and the electric guitar of the majectic solo by Fabio Paggi.
It is pure energy. The two musicians, who had already played together in the "Viziodiforma" group, merge in this phase an extraordinary progressive style that tells the yearning of the summit, the panorama, the rough training ground of life that one encounters every time one reaches the Sign placed on each peak, a search that leads us to find within ourselves the limits of our existence and the needs for an answer to a question that only the Mountain, the eternal teacher, guards.

"First Journey" is the first track of this musical adventure. Lasting about 25 minutes sees the presence of children's choirs, acoustic guitars, orchestra and solo instruments. The adventure begins in a storm and a fire with human voices intervening as a noise, an almost suffered background that communicates the occurrence of something that would appear to be devastation. A sudden noise, like the collapse of a structure acts as an antechamber to the next passage where an almost inaudible flight of breaths accompanies towards a new day dotted with the presence of mild and more sunny sounds. A chirping of birds and a major chord give a new identity to the piece, but immediately the restlessness of a strong strings and an obsessive pizzicato of violas and cellos announce the theme sung by the piano, a sequence of five tones, a arabesque that almost fades as it passes.
Then comes a surprising mystical atmosphere created by the skilful touch on the classical guitar (played by Fabio Del Sordo), which with a wink at Betic themes brings the atmosphere back to the key of romanticism. The undeniable passion that binds a friendship between the two protagonists of the story, seems like a dialogue on possibilities, on eventualities. The violin plays the leading role and with its interventions seeks an opening in the listener's heart, as if he wanted to kindle a new hope or renew a dormant one. In a short time we touch a pivot sequence in which the flutes with an obsessive mononote rhythm, announce an orchestral cry, almost a battle hymn where boy voices, percussions and brasses mark toghether the pace with strength and with passion that preludes a departure. The sails are unfurled, the wind grabs the vessel and pushes it far into the ocean, towards the unknown destination. At this point the boy voices of the "Czech Boys Choir" sing a subtle ode to the light, celebrating the continuous struggle against the darkness that mankind engages on a daily basis. "In Voragine... in Altitudine..." is a hymn to life, to the fertility of thought and to willpower.
The central pivot theme in which violins, cellos, french horns and three drums support a rhythm full of light and expressive power, leads to the only part in which the drums is the protagonist. It almost seems the prelude to a progressive rock song, also accentuated by the presence of the electric bass that gives depth to the sound. The drums accents to the spasm to make the cymbals play in contrast with the trend of the song. A cello and violin solos conclude the theme, engaging in conversation on a light piano accompaniment.
After an announcement given by the brass, we arrive at the second part in which flutes and strings chase each other exploring arias that evoke the spell of the journey, dreams and hopes of humanity. The strings played on two sweet but insistent chords are interspersed with syncopes that almost make you lose the sense of rhythm and accompany, first a flute and then an oboe, up to the thunderous final in which the boy choir overwhelms the orchestra as if in search of a breath of freedom, a flight in which the dream acts as a catalyst for the beauty and the will of man to recover and find his own serenity.
This composition is respectfully dedicated to the memory of little Vyacheslav "Slava" Minachev (2008-2021).
