The Night's Bringer of War and the Sun God
Midnighter and Apollo from The Authority/Stormwatch. A couple of two humans who were turned into living weapons. Besides attempting to make the world better, their union is the most important thing to make them remember they still have a human side in their souls, even if they fear them.
When one is gone, the other only goes on in eternal lethargy. Don't take away the sun from the moon, so it keeps shining in the middle of its darkness.
