About the work
The control of the industrial facility is crucial to guarantee the security and to ensure good running. With its proper management, anomalies can be detected in the system that could cause breakdowns; the breakage of equipment or even when production problems; or security failures that put the user`s and worker`s physical integrity at risk. To avoid these unforeseen events, it is necessary to implement preventive maintenance (PM). For that reason, the implementation of a surveillance plan (SP abbreviated) of the integrated facilities in the SAP ERP is proposed.
The objective of this research is to demonstrate that carrying out a SP with SAP ERP guarantees an adequate execution resulting in the safety of the equipment, facility, users and staff of the environment.
These tasks are integrated into a qualitative research, following the action-research paradigm from a participatory perspective. In this case, for the control to be more effective, the research of the study, knowledge and identification of the facility and equipment, and their operation as well as the profiles of maintenance workstations and personnel of the centre are initiated. Then, specific plans of the industrial facility are elaborated and updated to a database (DB) created with the collected information. Finally, the PM module of the SAP ERP is parameterized and configured with the data obtained from the recognition.
With this SP, one can know in real time the state of the facility by all the personnel involved, responding immediately to the anomalies that threaten the safety of workers and users as it provides detailed information that does not lead to errors of interpretation and that can be consulted at any time.
