Translation of the original book in Spanish. Ramayana,Valmiki. of Srila Japananda Das Acbsp. Extensive poem that narrates the deeds of Rama. The story tells that the god Brama asked the poet Valmiki to write it, and he did it. Rama, married to Sita, is the son of King Dasaratha, and will succeed his father, when, because of palace intrigues, he is banished to the jungle, where he is accompanied by his wife and brother Lakshmana. There, Sita is kidnapped by the demon king and taken to the island of Sri Lanka. Rama is allied with the army of monkeys headed by Hanuman, they go in search of her and free her.
Rāmāyaṇa, 'the journey of Rāma' the name refers to Rāma, (Rāma literally means 'pleasure') and āyana 'march'.
Like Mahābhārata, it is not just an ordinary story. It contains the teachings of the Vedas. Being one of the most important literary works of ancient India.
