About the work
Set in Viña del Mar in the late 50s and early 60s, High Bass follows the story of Eduardo Parra, Claudio Parra and Gabriel Parra, who become friends with Gato Alquinta and Mario Mutis.
Influenced by Hector Parra, a film aficionado, pianist and aspiring filmmaker (and also the father of the Parra brothers) they will form a latin music medley band called "High Bass" what will later transform into a psychedelic rock band "Los Jaivas" after the singers visionary encounter with a shaman in the jungle of Peru.
