About the work

Calvin Day thinks that maybe now that he's back home he can return to his normal, lonely, dull, and boring routine, but life loves to ruin our plans. When he arrives to his house he finds it's about to fall apart from misuse and the harsh weather, as well as covered in graffiti. But the worse of it all is that he finds it locked. Why is it locked? He couldn't have locked it when he left and to top it all off he doesn't have the keys on him. That's when he meets his neighbor Shel, who threatens him with calling the cops when he thinks Cal is a thief scouting the house to break in, and who, strangely enough, has Cal's house keys. On the days that follow Cal will have an internal war regarding his course of action. After returning he was bent on trying again and succeeding this time, but Shel and his shrink are slowly changing his mind and his resolve is wavering. All the new information they both supply him is making his decision look more and more biased; something decided when he didn't know all the facts. Should he do what he was supposed to do or what he wants to do? What is the right thing to do? If he does what he wants to do he'll have to face a very ugly truth. Can he accept what he did and begin embracing the fact that he's broken?
