Los traductores de la Biblia al euskera desde el siglo XVI, unas veces católicos, otras veces protestantes, han ido variando sus criterios por cuestiones doctrinales y también de forma paralela a la construcción del euskera literario. Por esto, un estudio diacrónico de estas traducciones indica algunas transformaciones culturales que ha experimentado el País Vasco a lo largo de cuatro siglos.
Bible translators into Basque language since the Sixteenth Century, some of them Catholic, others Protestant, have varied their criteria due to doctrinal reasons and also parallel to the construction of Basque Literature. For this reason, a diachronic study of these translations highlights some of the cultural transformations in the Basque Country over the last four centuries.
