Artistic Biography

Rocío Jazmin Acosta Lahera,

A artist born in Cuba, trained at the Teatro Lírico Rodrigo Prats in Holguín and the National Lyrical Theatre of Cuba, with advanced vocal studies at the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA).

My life has been a stage of searching, transformation, and rebirth. From an early age, I discovered that art was not just a form of expression it was my personal altar, the sacred space where I healed and came back to life.

I trained as a lyrical singer, musical theatre actress, dancer, director of musical productions, and stage creator, under the guidance of some of the most renowned and powerful artistic directors and masters of Cuban culture.

Many of them, like me, are now scattered across the world, as a result of history’s winds.

I currently live and create in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Today, I am also a composer and visionary artist, creator of a symbolic universe where poetry, music, and mythology intertwine to awaken sleeping souls.

My work gives life to mysthical creatures that embody emotion, memory, and invisible forces: beings like Éqfel, Éqfelhón, Eqfilhón, and the Goddess of the Dawn arise from my imagination as vehicles of healing, union, and empowerment.

My art does not seek applause:

it seeks to touch, to liberate, and to ignite.

It is ceremonial, symbolic, spiritual art without borders.

I create so others may dare to create too

to heal, to awaken, and to feel.

My mission is to offer light where once there was only shadow,

and to sing where the world falls silent.

I embraced my own shadows, and rescued the wounded child within.

From that awakening came a magical universe of creativity and power

that I now share through my music and sacred creations.
