A JOKE
It’s a joke the way they worry and pretend to save our souls
Just appearing to be courteous in the only way they know
What a fake the hits they’re sharing, spitting them out from their hands
All the politicians’ lackeys put our fate against the wall.
We’ve kept some troublesome faces for their scrapbook of remorse
But they’re still some kind of waiting for our steps out of our doors
Do they care at all for people or is revenge they’re thinking of
Let the one who gets the answer throw the rest the first stone
Should we know a prayer, pray it for us all
And should we be instigated
We’ll be blamed for being the guilty of the harm
Caused to “the ones who obey”.
It’s a joke the way they’re cheating; yeah they’re pulling all our legs
Just invading every border and trespassing every step
For they’re trying us to think that they’re defending us from them
Though they want to be protected from the shields they hide behind.
They gave us some rotten crumbs and we just showed the other palm
As an alms to homeless beggars praying for shelter at their door
But we climbed upon a mountain and we were taught empowering psalms
We used to hide behind wire fences, but now we wave our conquest flag.
Should you know a prayer, pray it for you all
And should you be instigated
You’ll be blamed for being the guilty of the harm
Caused to the ones who obey.
