This Artwork is based on the band's album concept. The front cover image is a fitting reprise of the band’s original artwork by Mike Collins, Lungfull Design for the debut album "Flames of Justice" which featured what has become casually known as the "alien womb" image and has been included to a lesser degree in all the band’s subsequent coverart. This time the "alien womb" has a re-vamp by Caio Caldas of CadiesArt. Quote from the band: "The main initial brief from the guys in the band is they want a white background for a complete change. However, they also want to focus on the so-called "alien womb" that was the main image on their "Flames of Justice" album which if you recall was also integrated with the last 2 designs you did for us. For the front cover we simply want the black/silver "alien womb" on a plain white background. The white Absolva logo towards the top - that's the logo you did for us. With the album title towards the bottom in smaller lettering. The album title is "Defiance". I had the original designer, Mike Collins of Lungfull Design, that did "Flames of Justice" send me a black/silver version of the "alien womb"."
