Synopsis: Madrid intenta reparar sus cicatrices, mientras Europa resiste las convulsiones de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Elvira necesita un trabajo, y lo encuentra en casa de Pablo, un empresario argentino de origen alemán. Para Elvira, ese empleo representa no sólo el medio de sostener económicamente a su familia, también es una puerta a un pasado que creía perdido, un paraíso de belleza y poesía que se cerró para ella después de que los fascistas fusilaran a su padre. Fuera de esas cuatro paredes, Pablo y Elvira pertenecen a dos mundos irreconciliables, y saben que la pasión que crece entre ellos tiene los días contados. El suicidio de Hitler precipitará las cosas. El marido de Elvira, Julio sale de la cárcel donde estaba confinado por motivos políticos, y lo intenta todo por recuperar a la mujer que ama. Incluso ponerla en peligro. - Madrid is trying to heal its scars while Europe is fighting against the convulsions of the Second World War. Elvira needs a job and finds one in the house of Pablo an Argentinean businessman of German origin. This job represents not only a means for Elvira to support her family financially but also the window on a past she thought was lost, a paradise of beauty and poetry which closed for her after the fascists shot her father. Outside the four walls of the house Pablo and Elvira belong to irreconcilable worlds and they know that the passion growing between them has its days limited. Hitler’s suicide hastens on events. Elvira’s husband Julio comes out of prison where he has been locked up for political reasons and he tries everything to get back the woman he loves, even putting her in danger.
