From movies and music to publishing, photography, and the fine arts the annual RightsTech Summit in New York City brings together a unique cross-section of artists, engineers, rights owners, entrepreneurs, and investors from all corners of the media industries to discover and discuss the latest innovations in the management and monetization of media rights.

From metadata standards and rights registries to the blockchain, content identification, licensing strategies, and machine learning, RightsTech is the commerce of art.

Here’s a video summary of last year’s festival:

The Enumerated Manuscript: Unique IDs, Metadata and Registries

Safe Creative will be part of the panel “The Enumerated Manuscript”. We’ll discuss all things concerning machine-to-machine rights management, and the requirements to have good-quality machine-readable data on rights.

The panel will provide a look at how different media industries are tackling the challenge of assigning standardized, machine-readable identifiers and metadata to creative works, how those data are registered and made available, and the relationship between private registries and public records.

Panellists:

  • Daniel Doubrovkine, CTO, Artsy.net.
  • Michael Simon, President, Rumblefish; CEO, Harry Fox Agency LLC.
  • Jacob Varghese, Founder and director at Noctil.
  • Mario Pena, Product Manager, Safe Creative Ltd.
  • Moderator: Maurice Russell, CEO and Founder of Media Rights Management.
