The leader of a wolf pack attacks three buffalo hunters, killing one and severely injuring the others. Rusty Steel and Levi Johnson discover the rabies-infested survivors and take them back to the compound to be nursed back to health—or die a horrible death. When Captain Will Forrester takes off on another one of his solitary rides, he finds a woman beaten and raped, and he goes after the men who did it. British Sergeant Patch and two partners steal twenty barrels of high-quality whiskey from the Hudson Bay Company warehouse in Vancouver City. They take the whiskey to the wilderness, hoping to triple their money selling the spirits to Indians, buffalo hunters, and the highest bidders. When the captain locates the buckboard and the Englishmen’s partner, two hired guns engage in gunfights, and all three are killed. Will confiscates the wagon in restitution for the abused woman so she could make a new life with the proceeds. When the British soldier finds out, he goes off the rails and demands revenge and that the accused be punished for theft and murder.
