A bastard is the lowest of the low in society. Well, unless you're an outlaw, and Enem is both. Not that he cares in the slightest.
From the forests where he hides, through the court of the King of Thieves, who wants him dead, his trail will lead him to the royal palace, where the nobles hate and despise him. Having survived the greatest battle in living memory as a child, the boy will now face armed attacks, betrayals, and shadowy maneuvers from all those who want to claim a throne that is vacant. A throne the young man cannot and will not aspire to, not only because of his blood, but rather because he has already pledged his loyalty to someone.
However, when he loses the person he loves most, the foundations of the kingdom will tremble before his oath of vengeance, an oath that not even the nobility dares to endorse.
The shadows, alliances, and betrayals of power are many... and Enem will ignore them, trusting only in his sword. Ultimately, he doesn't care about the throne and who claims it. He only strives to fulfill his oath of loyalty and exact his revenge against an incredibly powerful dragon that makes the entire kingdom tremble. A dragon Enem has sworn to kill, or die trying. And if necessary, he will go alone to fight it.
