About the work
This idea is inspired by the successful model at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley
(UTRGV), where the Excellence Scholarship has opened more opportunities for talented
students while improving diversity and academic competitiveness. A similar program at the
institution could make our College more inclusive and appealing to excellent students who
want a quality education but cannot afford out-of-state tuition costs.
