Perdida a 15,000 años-luz de su hogar, la pequeña Tanit se ha metido un nuevo lío: Tiene que ayudar al Dios viviente de los Kanil a encontrar a los verdaderos dioses en el planeta sin estrella, a fin de parar una guerra civil. En su peregrinaje, Tanit y el cachorro al que acompaña deberán superar diversos desafíos, que pondrán a prueba las crecientes capacidades mentales de la niña.

Y si la búsqueda de los dioses es peligrosa, quizás lo que venga después supone un riesgo aún mayor. Pero para ello tendrá que descubrir primero cómo es el universo en realidad.

Lost 15,000 light-years from her home, little Tanit has found herself in a new mess: She has to help the living god of the Kanil to find the true gods on the planet without a star, in order to stop a civil war. On her pilgrimage, Tanit and the cub she accompanies must overcome various challenges, which will test the girl's growing mental abilities.
But will she also be worthy of meeting the gods? And if so, what will she tell them? Will she ask them to return her to her mother? Or will those superior beings not deign to even answer her request? Perhaps what Tanit wants is not a gift that the gods can grant, but rather something that she will have to seek within herself. And if the quest for the gods is dangerous, perhaps what comes next poses an even greater risk. But to do this, she will have to glimpse first what the real nature of the universe is.
