The Blamer
(The Credible Story of a not-so-Great Escape)
Deep down I know there's something else,
other than this hateful cage.
On one side there are people cheering me,
the other has a whip full of rage.
There must be more to life
than having peanuts thrown at me all day.
Somehow I'll find a way outta here and make
my great escape.
Someday I'll know what it means to be free
from fear and desperation.
Against all expectations a
plan devised to kill the clown
gave way to a new-found way of life:
one becoming just another barfly.
There must be more to life
than selling peanuts just to earn a wage.
Somehow I'll find a way outta here and make
my great escape.
Someday I'll know what it means to be free
from fear and desperation.
Everything you end up playing is nothing but a game.
And you're never the only one that ends up with the blame.

En el fondo estoy seguro de que debe haber algo más
que esta odiosa jaula.
En un lado la gente me aplaude,
en la otra hay un látigo repleto de cólera.
Debe haber algo más
que el hecho de que me tiren cacahuetes todo el día.
De alguna manera encontraré una manera de salir de aquí y perpetraré
mi gran huída.
Algún día sabré lo que significa ser libre
de miedo y carente de desesperación.
En contra de todo pronóstico
un plan divisado para matar al payaso
dio lugar a una nueva manera de vivir:
convertirme en otro más de los enganchados a la barra.
Debe haber algo más
que vender cacahuetes para ganarme una sueldo.
Todo a lo que acabes jugando no deja de ser más que un juego.
Y nunca eres el único que acaba siendo el culpable.
