There are many types of creative works whose creation implies that their creators have legal rights upon creating the work. Some are the most obvious, like a book, script, drawing or photograph. Others are less common, but equally creative and subject to copyright, such as podcast scripts, contemporary art, video mapping<\/a>, and choreographies. Thanks to technological registers, it’s possible to register these works and many more (read more here<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, in general, how many works were registered in Safe Creative during 2022? Which types were the most registered? What are the figures behind the world-leading technological registry?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’ll discuss this and more below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’re talking about an average of 1,711 registrations recorded every day on Safe Creative. That’s about 51,350 registrations each month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There have been 1,164 podcast audios registered, 43,098 drawings and paintings, 107 sculptures, 227 feature films, 60 final year projects, 36,485 songs, 10,296 educational texts, and 981 3D models among many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Midway through 2022, the option to document the creative process<\/strong> was added: a total of 6,413 documents were uploaded and, seeing the increasing demand, we plan to work on improving this feature in the coming months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some Figures from 2023<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

What about the responsible creativity declaration to inform whether the work has been created with the assistance of AI<\/a> or has been exclusively crafted by humans? In 2022 we didn’t have this feature, but we can now reveal that so far in 2023 there have already been over 100,000 declarations of this kind<\/strong>. Next year we’ll see the percentage of AI use and how it evolves over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
